I think I messed up....

To get to the point, I was gonna install my exhaust today at a friends body shop who has a 4 point lift, his lift wasnt working correctly so I didn't wana put my car on it and decided to jack my car up. I jack it up along the inner beam parallel to the stock jack points twards the end of the car(I don't know why I did this, it just looked like a better place), after jacking the car up my friend tells me he can't find the toolz and we abort the mission, after lowering my car I look to find where I jacked it up has been crushed a lil bit!

From our PM's I thought you might have been on a control arm, but that looks like the frame and I don't think you will notice it. I'll have this moved over to the general forum tommorrow for additional opinions. Now go to bed!

seriously, go to bed. There's no place on the car that, when used to life the car, isn't going to buckle at least a little. With the possible exception of the area of the frame that has the metal tab running along it's length- and it'll only not buckle if you use the stock jack. You should see the area under my spare tire- it's looking really smashed, but so far no problem

Don't feel so bad, I was jacking my car up from the front tow hook and it slipped off and landed on the intercooler and smashed the bottom row. You'll be fine.

hehe.. the first mess up is always the worst feeling. You went from a perfect car to now having a slight imperfection. Dings, paint chips, scratches, etc can't be avoided if you drive your car everywhere and work on it a lot.

My EVO is my first new car, so I'm learning a lot about how to keep this thing as new as possible for as long as possible. I already have a ding, a scratch on a door, a big scratch under the hood, and a scraped muffler. All these things are pretty minor and you need to look real close to see them.

I am slowly learning how to let go and not stress too much about my EVO. It's hard though.

I had a a full size Snap-On tool box weighing about 500 lbs tip over and hit my Evo the first week I had it. My fault ultimately for not making sure all drawers were firmly locked. Got some nice deep scratches in the door to remind me.

I know that kinda stuff sucks, but I still can't help to think I might have hurt the frame of my car, even though its minor, im a perfectionist like that, I can't help it!
