FP RED + 92 OCT = 490 whp
Just got done doing a bit more tuning on 3dman1's FP Red Evo 10. Best run of the evening at 26.5 psi netted us 492 whp and 382 ft-lbs of torque on VDR v5.71 with the DJ correction factor. Air temps were a favorable ~60 deg F. We figure that the English Racing ported head is helping us a bunch. We are getting random knock from about 2-10 counts at 7700+ rpm from run to run that we are trying to understand. If we can get the knock under control, I think we'll be able to hit 500 whp on 92 octane.
The knock we are seeing is very random, The next run may have very different results but there is always knock from 7000 rpm up. It doesnt seem to change when we pull timing or add fuel. We have made some major swings in timing and afr in these areas with no change it is very hit and miss.

We altered my knock tables on the top end, i think 6000 rpm and up. We were getting a lot of phantom knock but det cans and people couldn't hear anything.
If you look at the factory knock table they really make it sensitive up top, so perhaps this is your problem. I know we did the same thing on my FPred.

With zero signs of detonation
You are telling me you never alter the knock tables? I believe you posted the stock ones before showing how sensitive they get up top.
EDIT:
We double checked with det cans as well and my tuner heard nothing...it wasn't knocking. He also made sure when it did knock that it still pulled timing, which it did.
