2010 Evo X GSR, stock turbo, bolt ons. Tuned by Sean@FFTec

I only had 2200 miles on the car when I brought it to FFTec to get this work done. I need to give a big thanks to Sean for helping me with my mod path and for the excellent tune. I am very happy with the result.

My goal was to do all the supporting mods for big power, but keep the power at a reasonable level. I don't want to max out any parts, other than the turbo. This is a daily driver.

I’m going to keep it as is for now with the 91oct tune. If I ever want more power, I did all the supporting mods for a bigger turbo and e85.

--------------------------------
2010 Evo X GSR
91 octane gas

Performance mods:
Stock turbo
AMS UICP
AMS FMIC
AMS Widemouth Downpipe
AMS High Flow Cat
AEM Intake
BLAQOPS Fuel Pump kit
Fuel Injector Clinic 1100cc
Stock BOV (crushed)
Boost Solenoid
HKS Hi Power exhaust

Dyno result: 331whp/317tq

Can someone explain to me, if your starting with 291 hp and u did all that work, thats a pretty lot of cash for all those mods even if installed yourself, and you only gain 40hp. How can ams claim there stages then gaining 50hp stage 2 100hp im new to this so i dont want to spend like atleast 3000 grand for 40hp

I'm guessing he's prepping for e85 or turbo upgrade. I wouldn't think the injectors, fuel pump, downpipe, fmic are beneficial on 91 oct/factory turbo.

Light bulb goes off... Ahhhhhh

Personally I would have gone a bit leaner in the tune as I hate how rich these cars run, but seems like a strong powerband.

When you crush the stock bov it holds more boost.

Yes you are correct. I did all the supporting mods for a bigger turbo, maybe FP Red. Right now I really like how the stock turbo performs. I don’t have any turbo lag and the powerband kicks in at 2k rpm. I'm going to keep it as is for now.

I was originally going to dual map the tune for 91/100oct. I have access to 100oct at the pump, but that stuff is expensive per gallon. I also have access to e85 at the pump, so I’m considering that as well.

im thinking about crushing the stocker too...how much psi are you running? You said you wanted to max out the stock turbo so im guessing around 28-30? did it hold the boost?

I don't have a boost gauge installed yet so I don't know the psi. Before the tune, he mentioned he was going to tune it around 25 psi. The gauges will be installed soon.

How would a leaner tune perform differently that it is now? I have no idea.

I like how the car drives right now. It performs excellent, but I have nothing to compare it to, other than when it was stock.
