Terrible Tune

I will not divulge information of who tuned my car first of all. So it begins I had purchased a tune and received the email downloaded it and headed to the dyno. I made 322hp and 330 trq. My mods consist of tbe, uicp, licp, ic. Well the individual had an opportunity to tune the vehicle and after 2 hrs of tuning I made 308hp 281trq. Now I'm not sure how this and why this is, but was told the car flows to well for the stock turbo and my injectors were maxed out at 97% duty cycle. Any help with explanation to how this could be? If I remember correctly the stock injectors are 550 and that is a rough estimate for around 425hp give or take. There was an upgraded ebc added, but it caused waste gate flutter going into boost removed it and added old tune back. A gain any help on trying to figure out what went wrong. Also here is the dyno sheet for the before and after.

Either your tuner had no clue about what they were doing or you developed some massive boost leaks during the process.

Which reverts back to the first sentence lol. If its the case of massive leaks a tuner should be seeing that in he data. Case closed lol

Definitely! The fact that you're at 97% IDC at that power level is a dead give away that you've got serious boost and/or exhaust leaks. How much boost are you running? Just out of curiosity.

Your tuner is an idiot. I made 352whp on the stock turbo with the stock fuel injectors.

Post your dyno chart or I'll have to move this thread. Post your tuner if you want it moved to the review & feedback section. IMO, post who tuned it to help protect other members; consider it a favor to the community.

We also looked for boost leaks and exhaust nothing showed up, the original tune was 25 or 26 lbs and tapered to 21. The new map had me at 18 and tapered to 15.

From the curve it also looks like Mivec is also not dialed in as well as previous.

Less boost + No Mivec tuning= Wayyy less power than you started with.

I had to remove the ebc and by pass the stock bc to the wg so I could get home cause the damn car had flutter going into boost from the wg. I've never seen that happen before either.

I'm not sure what happened here, maybe a bad day on this person. They are well known in the evo community and don't want to bad mouth some body. I want to assume a bad day on his part and me go somewhere else for now on.

Funny thing is I told him I strapped for cash and we had discussed about finishing what we had started with email tune. I had initially paid for an email tune but only got the first map cause I don't have money for a data loger yet. When we started there was no mention I was going to have to come out of pocket for a few hundred dollars until it was "well that's all she has in her its too hot and you injectors are maxed out".

Well sorry to hear about your experience. I hope you're able to find a real tuner and get your car dialed in ASAP!

That is what I was expecting to see, I already have a a precision 5858 upgrade about to be ready to be installed, I was told it would barely make 425hp and 360trq. But I was trying to be sold on E85 through the conversation saying I could hit 360 with what I have maybe 500hp with the new turbo. I would do E85 but there is not enough pumps in the area to make that kind of commitment.
