the baseline months ago that justin was talking about was mine and it was done in march. 3 weeks before this terrible tune is when a rat had his baseline, with all his mods, done. at that time his car made 318awhp and 328awtq. we had that baseline and mine superimposed over each other.

now when he went in for that tune, the second of 8 runs for that day, he made 322 and 331. that is the run that is on the sheet in post #1. that run is higher than his baseline run 3 weeks prior.

when he got home he reflashed back to the first map and all has been well.

is the time line more clear now? if you're pleased with him more power to you but you do seem to be the only 1 in all of florida that is.
Hey man if you are willing to come to South Florida; AWD Motorsports in Coral Springs does great tuning.

Now wait just a minute..... What do you mean he doesn't exist? Tell me then, if he doesn't exist, how is NORAD able to track him on Christmas eve? How come the milk and cookies I leave him on Christmas eve are gone when I wake up on Christmas morning? I got my picture taken on his lap in the mall! You can't just go around saying stuff like that! Now take it back!

OK.

Read the whole thing.

As someone who has been dissatisfied with work performed I can feel exactly where you are coming from Rat.

Now that the cat is out of the bag you should post on EVOA so Scott has an opportunity to defend himself.

Not saying you are doing this but there are always 3 sides to a story. How many times have we seen someone complain about something and it CLEARLY seemed like the offending party was at fault and then when the offending party gets on the thread (In this case not possible) and most of the time its miscommunication or something else explainable.

That being said all I can tell you is I got a tune from TopSpeed and I was not happy. Car bucked and surged, died all the time. Sputtered. I asked for a retune and had to wait because the tuner went on vacation. I know 3 other people who had the same issues. But then there are people who absolutely swear by Doug.

I have heard a bunch of horror stories about local tuners in Atlanta by both good friends and acquaintances and at the same time there are people who have had success with them.

I say all that to say def. take your car somewhere else. At this point the trust factor is gone and that is the biggest component to picking a tuner.

I will continue to go to Scott. There has been a multitude of times my car should've blown up but his quick thinking and things he said based on the logs lead him to correct some issues that could've been catastrophic. Plus some of the fail safes he has put on my map have also bailed me out.

Again I own a IX not a X so I have no dog in this fight. I just wanted to bring a level headed POV to the conversation amongst the TTP bashing. I have heard ill things about VARIOUS tuners. Some of the more reputable ones on here. They have a chance to defend themselves. Scott unfortuneately does not. Like I said post it up on EVOA and give him a chance to defend himself.

The only ones I haven't ANYTHING negative about have been English Racing and CBRD.

Did you ever speak to him about this? Ask him straight up why the base map was faster then the dyno tuned map? Why you ended up paying him twice? Why if there was something mechanically wrong with the car when you put the base map back on the car ran great?

All perfectly legit questions. If you haven't asked him those questions then I think this is a little unfair....esp. given the fact he can't defend himself (that's why Anarchy99 jumped in here.....regardless of what kind of vehicle he owns).

Thats my food for thought. I'm pretty logical when it comes to stuff like this. And seeing as how I have been in your situation I definitely can sympathize with you but i think Scott at least deserves the chance to answer to all of your concerns.

Good luck and as a last bit of advice..........if you aren't happy with Scott don't let ANYONE IN ATLANTA TUNE YOUR CAR. As much crap as people are talking about Scott I have actually beared witness to some of the shenigans in Atlanta, not worth your car bro. If you car is mechanically sound (Have Justin confirm if you can't do it) then contact Aaron @ ER, Freddie @SpecOps or Mellon for an E-mail tune.

Hey 3 750 hp+ Evo's aren't a fluke (mine, Anarchy99's and AMF's). I spoke with someone over the weekend that had a tune and come from a reputable place and Scott was able to iron out some of his issues. Just saying

From what I heard, Justin at Battleground where the car was dynoed, emailed the dynosheets to the tuner and RatFink has either been confused or lied on purpose.

I was forwarded the runfiles from the dynojet tuning session and the ones being compared in his posts are NOT from the same day before and after like he says. The dates are different.

The baseline is from a different month at 322whp and in hte 80*F +/- range and on the dyno day in later months the dyno room was 97*F according to the runfile data and the car was in the 298-308whp range.

The original poster obviously has something wrong with his car, a boost leak or failing fuel pump etc.

Even AMF with 800+whp and his showroom quality Import Tuner feature car just found out yesterday that one of his Tial MVS wastegates has a defective O-Ring and needs to be replaced. Mechanical issues happen to the best of them.

You cannot take a eflash map from the same tuner and make less power with a custom tune with the same tuner unless there is something physically wrong with the car or setup.

My .02c and yes I am one of the 700+whp club whose car runs perfectly.

Apparently Scott was unaware that you dyno'd at BATLground after the email tune and it was a cooler day. The day you started getting a custom tune your car baselined below 300 (I don't know the number). Justin must've given you the graph from the month previous and not the day of. So you made gains considering the weather.

Just seems like one HUGE misunderstanding.

As for dyno tune charge.....Dyno time costs money. Are you sure you paid him for the tune or for the dyno time? You really need to speak to him regardless of what you do.

Also if you added some more stuff since the baseline email then technically its a retune isn't it?

Again I have no dog in this fight it just seems really one sided and a whole lot of miscommunication.

Sorry you are having all these problems.
