they make different sized turbos for different power levels and desired powerbands for a reason. you don't (or shouldn't rather) buy a bigger turbo to make your motor safer. you buy a turbo based on your desired power level within it's efficiency range.
just because you may have a stock turbo running at 27psi doesn't mean you HAVE to spool it's ***** off by 2999 rpm.

I'm still curious if you regret the slower spool of the 2.5 Kracka?
As someone who has had both the EF2 and EF2.5, I'd like to ask your opinion for a 380-400whp goal. Your earlier thread had me sold on the EF2 but now I'm wondering if the EF2.5 will be better to grow with?
As it stands I love the response of the stocker and might even keep that. I've seen a few guys running full boltons with larger intercoolers on the stock turbo without cams making close to 380-400whp. But that is still a really hot setup compared to the cooler air from an EF2 right? What about longevity? Would an EF2 be better at 400whp than an aggressive stocker? I'm thinking so..... but why not a 2.5 to grow? I need feedback!

If you love the spool and response of the stock turbo, but are seeking 380-400, then the EF2 is the easy choice. The EF2 has awesome spool and response characteristics; on the street I doubt you even notice the slight amount of lag vs. stock to be honest.
Haha nice write up brother we almost made the same exact power on almost the same setup. I have a lot room to go by taking it ez cuz it's my daily lol. Map does make some great stuff. Check out my page right above yours lol. AWDKNG
