Wow. Should have stuck with the good 'ol key. You'd think there should be somekind of failsafe to shut without the smartkey nearby.

They should make it so that if the keys aren't in the car, then to not allow the driver to shift into gear. But should be done only if the car is at complete stop, else you're screwed if you are driving and your FOB's battery dies haha.

And in-case of the FOG's battery dying, then request to insert the backup key. But again, all these request should be done only if the car is not moving to prevent accident.

Anywhere in the cabin will let you turn on the car.

Never thought of that Always did it manually with the key

Comeon you know that everyone after the gym goes straight to their trunk first then open the door. With the key in the trunk and the outside trunk button won't register the key near by and open the trunk I was not able to get to it from the trunk button. But luckily for some reason the car sensor was able to sense a key near the vicinity and when I went to the driver door and put my hand at the handle sensor the car unlocked itself. BUTTTTTTTT the car alarm went off like I have just stole the car. I quickly unlock the trunk and grab the key from the bag and hit the unlock button on the key to disable the alarm. I wonder if that was a fail safe for idiots that accidentally throw their keys int he trunk by accident.
There's been a couple of times i focked up and left my key inside my backpack. Thrown it in the trunk. When i closed the trunk, it popped back open automatically. I think your car doors ntb locked for that to happen???
