Evo X hard drive upgrade?

I was wondering what type of hard drive the Evo X uses and if anyone has ever tried to upgrade from the 40gb unit? Search results I only found people asking the differences between 08 and 10 and about the navi.

you could maybe try imaging the 40gb disk with a program like Acronis True Image Home, then put the image onto a larger disk. Acronis has an option to put the image onto a new disk, but also increase the partition size to fit the new disk.

There is a procedure to unlock the hard drive so you can copy the contents to a new bigger hard drive.

Also, be aware that automotive hard drives are different than the normal consumer hard drives and cost more because they are able to withstand extreme heat and cold.

evox_speed3, yup i do IT work

if you went with a solid state drive instead of a regular mechanical drive, i'm sure that would be pretty resistent to heat and cold.
