Radio button illumination problems

When installing my aux input something happened- when I turn on the headlights the center stack (HVAC, radio buttons, cigarette lighter) doesn't illuminate, though the display on the radio itself dims. Did I disconnect a harness somewhere? I did check the panel dimmer setting and it is set to max.

Thanks in advance,

-n.

i say check the fuses... all under the hood as well, and double check the connectors are fully plugged in

Yep, turns out the climate panel was bad, and it affected the illumination for the radio and climate control.
