This is exactly what I did. I used RTV sealant to fill the cut I put into the grommet.

Helped my boy (forum user "Dr1fter") install these over the weekend. There's nothing that separates these from the stock/OEM headlamps. It is as you say right off the bat.

Made me wish I could have opted out of mines and saved a couple hundreds by buying these instead lol... but since I wanted FAST key and they come w the package, then w/e lol

Only thing he's missing now is some custom HIDs and he'll be all set plus the leveling switch which is a "meh" feature at best *shrug*

I'm trying to find the information as to why we have two different part numbers going to need the help of those who have already purchased. Here's what I have so far....

Depo - Part No: 314-1142PXUS2 - more expensive - in the auction photos the pictures are identical to the oem unit.

Depo - Part No: MI2505120 Sku:LP-MILA08B-DP - cheaper - photos in the auction and amazon look like **** since the projector housing is grey almost as if it was primed and not painted. However once the item arrives the unit is actually identical to the more expensive one. Someone already posted pictures of the box for this unit.

Can someone post a picture of the box for the more expensive ones to see if they're the same? Based on part numbers alone it seems like the more expensive one may have been created specially for the U.S. market and the other might be for a different market.

So I had my lights installed at NightShift formerly Turbotrix in Edison NJ by Roman. If i didn't run into any retrofitting issues, they would of had the lights in and jrox harness in within 5 minutes of taking my bumper off.

So here is a little story. I ordered the DEPOs and sent them to a retrofitter. They looked OK, but it turned out the adjustment tabs were broken for aiming and they were bouncy. Roman baked the lights and took out the oem looking sss shrouds with the bixenons. He then baked my original halogen lights on my car and proceeded to do a retrofit of his own to utilize the working mechanical parts of the halogen housing since the original retrofit had damaged tabs on the depo housing. Once everything was squared away he installed the lights for me with the harness within 5 minutes of putting the lights back into place. No shudder issues, no flicker, everything perfect.

I highly recommend this NightShift. Roman is a wiring genius and we didn't even run into a quad highbeam issue that a lot of people were expecting. He is co-owners with Eric and they provide excellent customer service and give updates on your car multiple times a day if you are leaving it with them for a few days. Best thing of all, you can talk to them like they are your friends. I'm more than thrilled with my entire experience.

Here is a picture. Sorry for the lazy eye. The lights weren't aimed yet on this picture (waiting for dark) and I caught a slight glare on one of the projectors. They weren't turned on yet.

The cutoff is excellent and there is no additional glare or any light for that matter above above the cutoff lines.

Could you explain what you mean by your lights were "bouncy"? Because i think i might have the same issue they are not flickering per-say its like the light bulbs are moving.

yay, just ordered mine. too bad it will take a week to get here. I freaking live 15 minutes away! should just pick it up. I'll see if I can take pics of the cutoff with the halogen lights because I don't plan to get HID's until a few weeks later.

possibilities:
  • the shrouds aren't secured properly to the housing,
  • you need more reinforcement around the bulb when you stick it into the housing,
  • broken tabs that aim projectors
  • stripped threading somewhere

Mine do the same thing, a very faint shake. I can see it best when I pull up close to something. At 5-6 ft from a wall, I can see the cutoff vibrating up and down about a quarter inch. It doesn't bother me, but I did notice that only the cutoff shakes, which means its the cutoff plate in the projectors that's vibrating.

O a constant shaking when idle you mean? Remember I have retrofitted bixenons, but in your case I am assuming you are using the DEPO projector.

I don't think it is your projector cutoff shield, but instead probably the ballast you are using or possibly the jrox kit needs to be regrounded somewhere.
I am running Morimoto 3Five ballasts with D2S bulbs. Expensive *** ballasts & 3x the cost of the raptor kit from the ddm site.

I actually think this is the problem i think I might have a bad ground if thats not it then i need to by better ballast. At first i thought it was because i needed a new battery which it was time to get one so i replaced it yesterday with an Optima red top. I still have the shaking although reduced. I am going to order some very good ballast and see if that helps.

Take your bumper back off and make sure that the clip on the back of the bumper is passing through the rectangular hole on the bottom of the headlight and make sure its in their firm. If its not the bumper will push away from the body of the vehicle. Also dont be too rough with it as you risk breaking the clips the one my drivers side broke and i had to adjust a bunch of things to get rid of most of the gap since i am not going to buy a brand new bumper for one cheap *** plastic clip. If you can another person to help you it would be optimal.

I wonder if they are an OEM supplier.... I got mine, quality seems good overall but I guess they cheap out on the projector for this replacement part...

I'm running 3Five ballasts as well, with Morimoto 9006 bulbs in the Depo projectors. I took a good look at the light output tonight and I'm pretty convinced it's just the car vibrating, since my jrox harness is grounded to an OEM ground point. Its a very faint shake, and maybe I just notice it since the car now has a fairly sharp cutoff line that it never had with the halogens.

Apologize for the cell pics but I just got the car back. As for the emblem, I'm still playing with it (and undecided if I want to keep it red or go black..as you can see one emblem is red and one is black atm). Will take better pics as soon as I can. The headlights and fogs are both HID kits from DDM.
