I have not attempted on my car yet the connections since the camera just came the other day, but I wound feed the camera power from reverse not from the plug as mentioned in these posts, put the radio on setting where camera feature is present but not highlighted due to no camera not present and then try the video connections on plug.

I've been getting power to the camera straight from the cars battery untill I can get the screen to change over. Then I'll worry about a proper power and ground set up for the camera. The big part the confuses me is that every one else said their connector was just tapped up some where behind the head unit and mine was already plugged in when I removed the headunit
thisisagame24, can you post a pic of what wires you currently have plugged into your connector?
With the camera powered by the battery, you should have two wires in the connector for the video signal. Pin 3 - video signal ground (negative) and directly under that, Pin 7 - video signal (positive).
Since PIN 2 senses the reverse state of the transmission, you may also have to put the car in reverse with the ACC power on to get the factory stereo to look for the video signal.

Now if you don't have the plug will the radio display on the screen with the voltage applied and pin 3 and seven on the radio connector connected. ? Without using reverse and applying 12v directly?
I intend to use mini micro pins to wire them up.

Ok I got it working. Apparently the pins I was using to connect the wire to the cars harness were not long enough to reach the pins on the head unit. Found some longer one and it working beautifully now. Thanks for all your help guys
So after an hour of connecting I got my first view of the camera. Installed one from $16.00 Ebay that connects to the license plate bulbs. Perfect fit. Since I have no grey plug in my car , I connected two mini connectors which I bought from Radio Shack, connected pin 3 and 7 to camera got power from battery and viola! In the settings of color, camera adjustment was highlighted. Not the camera(middle) function. Since I have no plug, and this is my question, I would have to connect a third connector at back of radio to PS-R , to 12V so that it would send power and deactivate radio and show only camera image? Correct?

I'm not a 100% sure what you have going on. Are you seeing the camera image coming up on the radio? Or just settings for it? You will need to have a 12v source for the one pin to tell the car it's in reverse. Your best bet is to run a reverse power wire to feed the camera and the head unit
On the radio menu, in color settings I have camera image and the settings to ajust tint, color, etc. this was accomplished with pin 3&7 connected to the camera and voltage apllied to the camera via the cars battery. Now, for the radio to shut off and show image, I believe the voltage should be applied to PS-R connector. Of that works then I wire that connector to the reverse lights. I'll try today and post. Thisthegame got it working because he had the plug, in his car with three wires on it, which fed the camera voltage and had power to reverse on his grey 8-pin plug, he only had the add to pin connectors to 3&7 for the video feed.
