4Tb might be overkill.

Is that a laptop HDD or something else?

Also how does it work when plugging in an iPhone to the USB?

I don't have an iPhone so I can't answer any questions about it.

Thanks, that's a desktop HDD how is it powered as it uses mains power so you'd need an inverted. I still think a 128Gb USB would hold more than enough music and a decent number of x264 movies.

On that, has anyone tried the next x265 format on it?

I wired in a powered USB hub that the drive plugs into. I haven't tried x265 on it yet.

Yes which revers and dash cam do you use with these, my CJ doesn't have any revers camera.

Also I was planning to use this site below and now eBay as the prices are lower but do a search for this type of HU and lots of options come up at different prices, all with similar spec.

Below I did a search for the ones with 5.1.1 and 9 options came up, which is the one I should choose, I don't have the Rockford Fosgate or a sub in the boot.

Also, what backup camera are you guys using with this? Is that worth the install trouble? It's cool to have but not all that necessary. Also, what obd2 adapter?

I just ordered one from aliexpress.com, $450 AUD (about $355 US) and that includes the rev cam and OBD2.

The camera I'm getting is made for the CJ, it mounts using one of the rear number plate lights, can't wait to get my belated birthday gift.

I got mine in and hooked it up with the MITO-03. Everything works sound-wise, but I can't get the steering wheel controls to work.

When I go to the Steering Wheel control section in Settings, I just get a blank page with Reset and Save at the top.... Any insight?

New hear but I'd say a GoPro which can be mounted outside the car would be good for track days to get some different shots.

I got those for outside but this will have the track app on the nav and integrate with the camera for lap times and telemetry

I added Torque to my 10.2 Navi deck. Here is a quick tip.

Before install make sure you have already worked out an internet connection for the deck.

Plug in the ELM327 before starting the car. Once started go into the deck settings, under Bluetooth and label the connection, enter the password or pin as 1234. At which time the auto detect / pairing should start.

Download Torque from the google play store. Only install either one or the other. Either the Lite edition or Pro. If both are installed only one will work until the other is uninstalled. In the Torque settings select paired devices. It should give you a single item listed as a bunch of 1s and 0s.

After that Torque should refresh and your dials should start working.

Let me know If I can answer any other questions.
Any other tips on how to hook up the obd Bluetooth.. I've tried two different obd and still can't get it to work properly.. Are you saying you connected the obd via the head unit and not the app.. Then downloaded the app?

For those that have installed this, how are you connecting to the internet while on the road? Are you using your phone as a mobile hot spot or are you using the optional internet usb stick?
