10.2 quad core android car gps nav stereo
This is what you will need to know to install and hide the foward facing DVR cam. Assuming you ran the USB connections to the glove box you can feed the DVR line up the passenger A pillar and across the front / tucked into the front edge of the headliner and mount the DVR cam left side of the review mirror.

A note about the rear view camera. You can gain power to turn on the cam by tapping into the reverse light. To trigger the head unit to switch over to the reverse cam you need to connect the reverse cam trigger. In the FE there is a 3 wire connector that is tapped back out of the way on the main headunit wiring harness coming from the car to the unit. Its got a grey connector and three wires. You need to connect the orange wire from the android unit marked Reverse Cont to the white wire on the 3 wire connector. You can just strip the orange wire and insert and tape into the grey block. That way you can always revert back and not cut anything.
BTW the installed app on the home screen never worked but in the preloaded apps there was another DVR app that did, however I have not figured out how to automatically start recording on startup.
The reverse cam function does come with the yellow, orange, red backup markers so you dont need a camera that always displays this as you will have double overlays.

ELM327 OBDII Connect information.
I added Torque to my 10.2 Navi deck. Here is a quick tip.
Before install make sure you have already worked out an internet connection for the deck.
Plug in the ELM327 before starting the car. Once started go into the deck settings, under Bluetooth and label the connection, enter the password or pin as 1234. At which time the auto detect / pairing should start.
Download Torque from the google play store. Only install either one or the other. Either the Lite edition or Pro. If both are installed only one will work until the other is uninstalled. In the Torque settings select paired devices. It should give you a single item listed as a bunch of 1s and 0s.
After that Torque should refresh and your dials should start working.
Let me know If I can answer any other questions.

Hi guys, i've just installed the unit today everything works as it should except the USB ports.
I have plugged in a USB stick and it flashed and lit up once (the usb itself), and the unit wont pick up anything. I unplugged it and plugged back in, also lit up for 1 second and gone. So i thought there might've been an issue with that particular USB, but i tried 4 and 5 USB sticks and returned the same issue.
Has anyone experienced this?
Cheers

Hi new here, don't have an EVO but I'm considering one of these HUs to replace my stock one. But I'm just concerned with the number of issues some have had, are they a big issues over all?
Also I'm in Australia and part of a local CJ Club.

TLDR?
I'd prefer one that ran on iOS over Android or Windows but they just don't have the apps, I know some have build custom iPad docks but you're still limited with no radio app or revers camera options.

I had read on the ebay listing that the USB only works with a max of 32gb, hopefully I'm wrong. With that being said I'd imagine you can charge the phone. Not sure about listening to music if it is over 32gb though.
32gb is not max. I have a 4 tb external drive hooked up and working.
