Was trying to hotwire start to ETACS ignition wire (there's some sort of break). After finishing the wiring, all I get from putting in the key is "remove key". Removed everything I thought I changed, issue persists. I followed the service manual for troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. I know the same thing happened when I had removed the big RED-BLACK wire from the battery terminal (the one that runs right into ETACS), but I went back and checked all connections there, and everything is good.

Does anyone know what the cause of "remove key" might be? Or what the big RED-BLACK does? Any tips are appreciated.
