ECUTEK CAR w/ NO MODS goes 107+mph Trap Speed!!!
Ok, but I would also like to change my launch control, raise my rev limit and remove the speed governor. And while we are changing that, please log it so we can make sure everything is in check. Can you do this with the chip?
We know TTP proclaimed he made something that adds 100whp/100wtq with the aid of an mbc and is calling it the z chip. we know its pnp. thats it

This was my X that ran these times. The Ecutek flash has changed this car and as some of you may know i was actually considering selling it but decided to have it flashed by Sean Ivey to see how much improvement there would be and as you all can see it is a vast improvement.
As far as the Z-chip goes. It has nothing to do with my Ecutek tune i received from Sean and its results are irrelevant to my cars performance. I personally dont think it will have the gains that they are claiming but we shall see.
In the end i highly recommend SEAN IVEY as i have had a great experience with on several occasions and have had made great power with cars that he has tuned.

Hugo, hate to be the devils advocate, but we know nothing about the z chip. I dont even know if plugs in by the ecu or the obd2 port. or what it looks like, what color, how it works, how much it is, when it will be released or anything else.

I would suggest that drag speed times and peak dyno numbers are not a wise bench mark to evaluate various tuning tools
Remember a tuning device is simply a tool which can adjust fuel injector on time and timing
I would assert than any device that can adjust a/f will reach the same peak power with a MBC at "X" boost level
What I am suggesting is that for example, a unichip, SAFC, Emanage, exede combined with a MBC can all achive the same power level with the same a/f and boost
A rational manner in which to compare and contrast tuning devices is by evaluation of the following criteria :
Tunable Parameters - what you can adjust
Resolution - how many steps of adjustment you can make and how many set points the device has
Repeatability and consistancy - how stable is the device and can results be duplicated over and over again
Design and quality of interphase - how well laid out are the end user controls
Hardware issues - ease of instalation - size, etc
Price
Reputation and track record of manufacturer
Tuning network - how many tuners in your area work with the device you have chosen and are they conformatable with using it ?
In summary - it is not wise, IMHO, to evaluate tuning products based upon drag times obtained or peak power dyno numbers. Any tuning device can make your car develop power. The best tuning devices can produce reliable power, combined with stock like function and driveability and without any undesired results.
At the end of the day the tuning tool is only as good as the man or women doing the actual tuning.

i knew this will come soon. But this time a i will stay away from comments about dynoflash. SO everybody else should. This is about your great run and tune.
That is why i try to ask Al to not to advertise himself in this thread.
I hope you like your X now ate least a little better. Next year i'm sure you will love it even more

the X goes for 24 HR race and Pwrc too
Not to mention the 4B11T is just with tune is a very amazing engine...

Dont you agree?
with warranty concerns this product is the winner in my mind.
Warranty? What warranty, it's a mitsubishi!
In all reality, there's always going to be a market for every form on tuning albiet reflash or piggy back, it boils down to what a particular consumer wants.
And if your worried about your warranty, don't mod period, just my .02

Keep in mind I AM interested in the zchip, but...
Instead of constantly defending the zchip and coming back with these kind of posts which contain no real info, why not just release the information that would make sense to all the people trying to understand it.
It would certainly relieve some of the tensions that are building up in the few threads that are currently covering this debate.
