They get great gas in Japan i believe.

 

We get 98-100 Octane (RON) for premium. I heard it's equivalent to 93-95 Octance in the US, but don't quote me on that. But by looking at the difference in the fuel/timing/mivec maps, I'm starting to think that the Japanese premium is higher than 93-95 US spec octane.

 

Correct. From what i know Japan uses 98 and up, but is RON, so is about 93 US OCT for 98 JP RON.

Buy the cable! Trust me its worth it.

 

If anyone out there plans to go the Ecuflash route and is just waiting til its release, you should order the cable asap so you don't have to wait once it gets released. It shouldn't be far away.
