Perrin Stage 1 AP Map
i just flashed it this morning for the first time and went out with my neighbor for some pulls. on the second pull in wot in 4th i knocked big time. i wasn't logging but we were both like WTF?
i may drive on it for a while and take some logs. don't know if i want to reproduce the knock again given that it was pretty obvious. i wonder if perrin would help me out with this if i send them a log.

Well heres what youll expect from Stage 3 after i did some relooking over the dynos.
Well i went back and checked my dynos closely again. And noticed something very big. The stock tune might peak 221 but it instantly drops right after it peaks. It hits 221 for a second @ 6000rpms and drops to 200 by redline. Then rechecking my new dyno i peaked 298 and held strong to 7415rpms and only dropped to around 290 by then. So technically with the turboback and fmic with a free shelf map with accessport purchase. I basically am gaining +90awhp +88awtq on top end.
-Turboback w/HiFlo Cat(stock 02 housing)
-Perrin FMIC(stock IC piping still)
-Free Perrin Stage 3 Conservative Off-Shelf Map(No custom tuning)
Still stock intake/stock turbo inlet/stock oem filter/
No boost pill mod
Baseline:
221 peak awhp@6000rpm /248 peak awtq@4000rpm
then just drops and drops and hits
200awhp/140awtq by 7k redline ouch!
Now:
298 peak awhp@6500/301 peak awtq@4250
And ending run at
290-292awhp@7415rpm / (228awtq@7k) 203awtq@7415rpm
Peak boost: 27psi@3500rpms , graph read 25 my dedicated gauge read 27 which its suppose to be hitting.
About 14-15psi by end of run @7415rpms
So at 7000 rpms where stock tune ended looking at around +90-92awhp and +88 awtq gain in top end.
All done on RS Motors Heartbreaker Mustang Dyno MD500
2 runs seems very consistent and very well done afr's for no custom tuning, only a off-shelf map.

And a little 0-60 drive by for fun.

Hey guys, I'm happy you're loving the maps! Just let me know if you have any questions. That's why I'm here! We are pretty flexible on the price, so just send me a pm and I can get you a good deal, thanks!
my state sells 93 as well.
i took some logs. scottatyamaha is familiar with my quality of logs. this time i took a good one with pulls all the way through 4th. that sound was still there (pressure boiler under a hard boil) with heavy throttle in 4th but no knock logged. that sound doesn't occur with other tunes.
so i did a good pull without knock but never stopped logging as i drove home through stop signs and small neighborhoods and this is what i logged! remember no hard acceleration or anything. i deleted a ton of cell to have it fit in one image...you will notice by looking at the seconds column.
any input about whether this tune is good for me or not is appreciated.

OK so I decided to do another log to check again to see if I was getting any knock and this time I seem to get alot. The log started in 3rd gear around 4500rpm and I took it WOT all the way until the end of 4th. The last log I did I had little to no knock and this one I have knock all over the place. I just filled up with gas from Exxon yesterday so I am going to run this gas out and fill up with BP and log again to see if it makes a difference because I think the last time I logged I was running BP gas.
Also dek0026 I did a log of normal driving and in 2nd gear I hit a hit 1.0 knock around 3k rpm, but that was it.

i wonder if it is the gas. maybe we both got crap gas despite being brand name. i am going to drive like a bat out of hell to and from work tomorrow to run this gas out and then fill up with sunoco or BP and see if logs are different. i am also going to call chris at perrin to see if he has a similar map with a lower octane rating.
i will also log normal driving with the cobb stage 1 map and see if there is much of a difference. and then again with different gas.

i am going to log the cobb map today under normal driving, today.
update: i logged on the way to work. normal driving and some pulls on the cobb stage 1 93 octane and i only had one knock event and that was after i backed out of my driveway
. I am convinced it is the gas although I think it will be hard for me to find a gas to make the car happy with the perrin map. i may have to go for a map with lower octane rating. don't know for sure yet though.
