Quick Qns

Just a quick qns. Currently, I have AP with a tuned map installed. When I uses eculash and read from rom, does it read the tuned map or stock map?

If itz downloading the tuned map, does it means that I can reflash this map back to my car at a later time?

IDK, hook up OP2 and check I would really like to know if AP maps work with opensource but I'm pretty sure Cobb locks their stuff...

if you're trying to promote ECUtek, then you're in the wrong place. people who look in this thread are DIY kinda people and have already made the decision to ECUFlash.

Just glad someone beat me to it. I wonder if that will be the only alternative tuning solution to be whored here or if the usual suspect will show up as well?

Are you done whoring out ecutek in a ecuflash thread yet?

Perhaps getting back on topic would be a good thing for the community...

I have to say it is quite funny to see the same exact thing happening yet again. EcuFlash comes out and you are yet again whaambulancing about it exactly like you did when EcuFlash came out for the 8/9. History repeats itself indeed...

You guys all cry foul and some of you reported posts, but Guru started this with the EcuTeK bashing.

I'll clean the thread, but you can't have it both ways. Leave EcuTeK out of the thread, and people won't rise to defend it.

For all parties, from here on out, please keep thread about Ecuflash.

xbox4414 is right; it is an offense that will result in the offender being temporarily removed. Strike 2 is a permaban.

Here's everyone's free warning to not do it.

Petey Turbo, knock off the antagonistic tags. Keep it up, and there will be infraction points for flaming.

There's only the Cobb ROM in the ECU. The stock one is stored in the AP. Not sure if you'll be able to read it though. My guess is that they took steps to make the ROM unreadable except by the AP.

Yeah it's only readable by the AP now. Previously it was confiscateable I believe but the firmware updates now prevent this.

Does anyone have any good MIVEC maps for the X yet other than the JDM maps that have proved good gains? Thanks.

So with this version which of the patches are obsolete and which can still be used? example we don't need to add the ECU Periphery because it is already present. How would i apply the jdm map patch and other mrfred or tehpra patches so it wont cross with others listed (maybe listed under another name)?

I've worked out a new way to keep all the custom definitions in a separate file:

Check out this post: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ml#post6476121

The Evo 8/9 xmls covered in that post are the same ones in the 1.41 release.

How fast is the pcmscan for logging? Is it as fast as Evoscan? Can we integrate the wideband with it like Evoscan?

Does the software work with the Tactrix 2.0 cable w/o any other hardware? Do I need to buy any hardware with their software license to get the full version?

Thanks

I don't know how to explain the speed but logging with 12 parameters in 4th gear on a dyno from 2000RPM to 7400RPM it logs every 50-80 RPM.

And yes, you can hook up an external wideband, I have my AEM connected to it.
