lol... trouble is it affects your EVAP stuff...

disabling the code is easy, but not really sure if/how we should deal with the EVAP part..

What are the requirements for being a good input?

As in, would something like the fact that we don't have IC Spray work? I'd prefer to use an actual spare rather than the fuel pressure, but if it's hard to find...

I think IC button is hooked up to an IOPort input rather than an ADC.

But yeh that might be a better idea...

Let me take a look at the IC code to see what I can see... they might have changed to an ADC like CruiseControl...

If I remember correctly, the USDM doesn't have the ECU pins for IC spray.

So the fact that we don't have a pin for IC Spray is a good thing for map switching (potentially), yes?

well there will be two (maybe 3) activation methods for map switching

1) cruise control holding down to switch maps - good for E85, or different fuels
2) voltage input into ECU - good for meth failsafe switching
3) might use TPS as well - depending on whether people want it (not really needed since CC will do the job)

so with #2, its working now with the fuel tank pressure input... BUT this isn't very easy on USDM.

So on USDM I might use the IC setup - which means you will need a 5v relay to switch +12v to the IC input...

most meth failsafes are +5v, the IC will expect +12v...

wont be too complicated

Using the cruise control for map switching... how does this work? I assume that it is a "key on, engine off press button" type of thing... is that correct? I would not want to lose the ability to use cruise control.

Wow, didn't realize it was "on the fly" like that! Cool!

So, the cruise itself functions normally though? What indications do you have of what map is currently active?

Thanks,

Keith
