TephraMODs for the X
Can't wait for KnockCEL! Can the CEL also be used to warn us of dangerously lean conditions (for those without a permanent wideband)? I know the stock narrowband is not accurate at all, but does it still read during WOT? For example, if it still reads stoich at WOT then you probably have an issue. Thanks tephra!!

I think if you can adjust what percentage to cut throttle down to this wouldn't be that major of an issue. Granted when you really need to have your full expected speed to complete a pass you don't want the car falling on it's face at the wrong moment, then again if the car is knocking badly you also don't want to pass at all costs including grenading the engine.
When I was testing using TPS limiting to elminate 5th gear compressor surge I found that it was really easy to adjust all 4 tables and set the max TPS that was available on the charts. If we could figure out which of the 4 tables are used we may be able to re-direct a couple to a single map and then designate one for valet mode where TPS is limited to 30-40% max and/or a moderate engine knock mode where 7+ counts of knock triggers the TPS to be limited to whatever ends up helping enough to reduce knock without cutting TPS completely. Basically it would automatically let off the gas partially and you would still have decent acceleration with about 20 psi and be much less likely to knock.

I think setting the knockCEL to limit/knock cut off to turn on only when past like 60% throttle would be crucial since the 4b11 knocks at lower RPMS, especially with harder motor mounts and stiffer suspensions and clutches.

well the knockcel would be independent of the throttle cut.
obviously both would have thresholds so it doesn't kick in unnecessarily.
I am still experimenting with 2 levels of knockcel on the X - not sure if its working 100% yet... might be a problem with CAN communications...
