Quick noobie question...

So I bought a code reader becuase I've been getting a ses light. I'm thinking it's my test pipe but don't want to take any chances. My question is if I plug and run the unit will it brick or mess up my ecu? Will I lose my tune?

I don't think you will lose your tune, it should just read the code but I'm not 100% sure, I have a test pipe too along with a down pipe and I added a cel fix to sensor 2 and it doesn't throw a code. Do not run a cel fix on the first sensor cause it will throw a slow to read code. I got my cel fix from gruppe-s but they sell them at alot of sites like AMS, Touge Factory, and e-bay. Good luck with that.

I have an angle fouler for my test pipe. It's been fine for about 4-5 months until I got on pretty hard (WoT) then it came on. Reset it and was fine or another week then it came back.

It will not hurt anything, all it does is read the codes and won't delete the codes unless you opt to do so.

awsome thanks guys. i did pull the code and its my test pipe (P0137) and it was able to erase it. i use the Autel Maxiscan ms300 if anyone is interested. for $30 cant beat it. now i just have to find or replace my fouler. im pretty sure it went bad or needs a little cleaning. i have the ichiba tp and an angle fouler. like i said its been fine for 4-5months, dont understand why it would just kick on again.
