Question EvoScan questions

Hey all, So i finnaly get evoscan and hook it up to the car, after some dumb luck i figure out that i needed to select openport 2.0 ect ect. Now when i did a log at idle between selecting Evo X and mode23 USDM Evo X i get diffrent results, one will show knock at idel and the other doesnt. Which one should i be using?

Also I wish this would read DTC's already!!!!

The newest beta version sent out to testers can already read/clear DTCs.

If Mode 23 is NOT enabled in the ROM image in the car, then you cannot use Mode 23 logging.

If you have Mode 23 logging set in Evoscan with a non-Mode 23 ROM, you'll get only garbage in the logs.

So Mode 23 is better for logging correct? More accurate? If that's the case then I'll try tomorrow, and that's good news that the beta has DTC reading and clearing.

I think it's the final release version which is V2.7 and i'm already using/testing it but i do stand to be corrected.

Haven't tried read/clearing any DTC's.

Yep, there's a big how-to on enabling mode23. Enable it then go out to do some DL using mode23.

Nah, there were more bugs so it isn't final yet. Also if you noticed the installer screen it said 2.8 and it tries to install into a directory called Evoscan 2.8

Yeah, he said all EvoScan v2.7 FINAL Beta bugs are now fixed. just waiting for us beta testers to give him feedback. It includes EvoX Read and Clear DTC, and also a beta ECU RESET Learned Values feature, but this is still in progress.
