E85 Question

Sup Fellas,

I just recently found out there is an E85 station up the road from my house & im switchin over for sure. I have stock turbo but plan to upgrade to an FP Red eventually maybe bigger. What size injectors would i need? Also what other mods do i need to do. I kno there is a plastic piece in the fuel pump that needs 2 be replace & the fuel rail needs 2 be changed as well....What else needs 2 be done to run this safe?

There's this long thread with a really informative post about it in the hardware (not tuning) side about this forum... It might answer some of your questions...

I don't have a ton of experience on the X yet, but for a similar setup on the IX ~1100-1200cc injectors and a double pumper would be ideal for your future goals.

As far as mods required for running the E85 (if it hasn't been beaten to death and back): bigger injectors, replace the sock in the pump and/or replace the pump itself with a blaqops / buschur / etc kit, and most importantly tune.

Obviously all other supporting mods would be ideal to allow that setup to see its full potential.

I am running DP 1000cc injectors and the Blaqops single 255 pump with 94% duty cycle at WOT. I really like the theory behind the progressive double pumper kit but so far have not seen a need for any more than a single 255 pump

Then you aren't making enough power yet.

The 10's will need the double pumper with a larger then stock turbo on E85.

I've maxed out the single pump at a little over 400whp on our dyno on the 10's.

If you were installing a new system today then I'd go with a BlaqOPs double-pump kit and the FIJ1100 injectors. I found the stock rail a pita to deal with. If you want to add some bling then the Boomba rail works perfectly with the BlaqOPs quick disconnects.
