i'll tell you this... my friend brought over the tool he uses at work... those 6000.00 diagnotic tools... he read and cleared the code, I drove up and around town and don't have it anymore, BUT.. I completely got rid of the LC-1, boxed it up and am ready to send it back... if I need a WB i'll take it somewhere and either let them tune it, or add parts where I can add power, but tuning isn't critical... any ideas?

Zt-2 is awesome, it is what I use. Only had the LC-1 because of ATR.

well the problem is I know nothing about tuning... I have to get guys on here to do the tuning for me and they may be busy and not have time or whatever else.. I don't like asking people to do things for free like that.

man, I take so much medicine for anxiety that I cannot think well enough to learn this stuff. I think I may put some money into getting an intercooler until I have enough money to put into the tuning... plus if I tune it and then get an IC I might want to tune it again, so I don't know, it really just depends if innovate wants to refund my money.

Methodical4u, if you're not interested in spending lots and lots of time learning how to tune, then you are better off selling the wideband and just going to a shop to get a pro-tune for $400 or so dollars. That sounds like what you're leaning towards doing. I didn't get a chance to read through this whole thread - sorry you couldn't get the LC-1 to work for you. It's worked fine for me and I rarely have to re-calibrate.

Well, it's not really that. I have a friend who tunes my car, the WB was just going to help with the fuel trim and be able to really fine tune it down to the very last detail, but the thing just wouldn't work for me, I tried everything I could.

Ah ic. Does your friend tune it without a wideband?

Not the fuel part of it, (because I don't have a WB) I think he takes some of the AP maps to be safe and just adjusts little things on them. He's gotten me to average 22-23 mpg per tank and I took a ride down the road and ran some errands the other and got 27.1 and that was even with a few stops... so he's been very good with the timing and whatever else he adjusts to make that better. Don't know much about tuning so I couldn't tell you much more than that.

Update: I sent back the LC-1 today which cost me 10.70 to ship. They don't do refunds, so I will just have to see if they test it and it works or doesn't, if they send me out a whole new unit, and then hopefully the problem will be corrected once hooked up. I'll let you all know. On a side note, I still want to get a good intercooler... at some point i'll likely get the ETS 4" as no trimming is involved and the cooler everything runs the better, so maybe a little better gas mileage? Never know I suppose huh?

Gas mileage won't change with an IC.
