Installed WB today... questions..
I don't know... I cleared it once and it came right back on, and I don't know if there is a fuse for it... apparently not, because I haven't seen it on the fuse list. I tried logging with the ATR which did work, but the AFR was all at zero, once again, I don't know if I am supposed to log the LM-1 Aux 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, the LM-1 recording, the LM-1 Lambda or the LM-1 voltage. All I know is that the serial cable WILL NOT make contact with the WB... it's just not happening at all.
ok lets start from the beginning:
1) the LC1 led blinks on startup then stays on solid?
2) you have plugged in the TERMINATOR into the Serial In?
3) you have plugged the serial cable into Serial Out?
Connect the serial cable, Turn the car IGN on, wait for the LED to stop blinking and go solid, then start up LMProgrammer

thats what I do.
if LMProgrammer doesn't connect pretty quickly, I just TWIST the serial cable in the serial out connector..
LC1 is a PITA - but once you know its little quirks its pretty good

ok, let me go give it a shot... does the car when on the "on" position have to be started to keep it from overheating?
well I tried fooling with all of the wires, but I got nothing out of that. Log works does work, but LM Programmer still won't come up ... this is the serial to usb connector I bought, neither of then will screw into each other, but the male to female connection works... does that make any difference? http://cgi.ebay.com/B-USB-RS-232-DB9...item3cae029115
In the LC1 box you should have got a 9pin serial cable to 2.5mm headphone jack.
yeh?
Innovate have said a few times that some non FTDI chipset USB->Serial convertors will have problems but I havn't found that to be much of an issue...

yeah I got the 9 pin serial cable with the headphone jack... just making sure the conversion cable I got isn't what is causing the problem.
yeah I did try twisting it and such, I honestly have the led hidden behind the fuse panel, so I don't know if it starts flashing honestly, I can tell you that it stays about the same as far as AFR goes though.
ok
so maybe disconnect the innovate gauge - i am not sure if thats allowed to be connected while your configuring using LMProgrammer
so the wiring should go
Termination -> LC1 Serial In -> LC1 -> LC1 Serial Out -> LC1 serial convertor cable -> USB-Serial cable -> laptop

right... those steps I have done... I haven't tried to unplug the gauge before though... I will have to try it next.
