Trouble starting
So, I've already performed the search.. and couldnt' find anything specific. Usually, i'm pretty good about this stuff.
Anyway, so i've been having trouble starting.. the car cranks and cranks.. and finally catches and sputters to a start after maybe 10 seconds..
I've already ruled out bad plugs, voltage (grounding) issues, and the tune.. bec this all started long after Chad at CBRD tuned the car.
The car seems to start well when when the engine is cold, and worse when hot. Putting the pedal at 1/4 throttle (or any other throttle position for that matter) seems to have no effect. I currently have ID 1000cc injectors, upgraded fuel pump relay.. and no explanation.. maybe some of you all have a better idea!!?!? But note, the car does start after a while..... and yes, i DO click the car to the "on" position to have the fuel pump charge the system before cranking... I'm not that retarded!

I do experience occasional starting problem when the car is hot too, even with stock fuel pump and injectors.
A local workshop advised me to try replacing the crankshaft position sensor first. If that didn't help, both the intake and exhaust camshaft sensors too.

I got the same issue ID1000 e85 tuned. Starts great when cold and a little difficult when hot. What kind of worked for me was putting the key position to on and waiting for 5 seconds before cranking the motor. Hope it helps.
I know this is an old thread but I now own this car (the op's car) and im having the same exact problem does anyone have a fix for this? Or know what he did to fix it or anything? What should I try
Herein lies your answer. Log on startup to determine the coolant temp ranges you are having issues with. Typically hot start issues are too much fuel, whereas cold start issues are too little fuel. For hot start begin by reducing enrichment in 5% intervals at the temp you are having issues with. Also ensure that your injector scaling is correct via ID's published values.
