CBRD EVO X- Intake Test....

Ok guys, we had the chance to strap our X to the rollers, 31 miles on it...

we dynoed it stock, and then with a bolt on filter...

the gains were impressive, and driveability seemed to improve... AFR's leaned out slightly, boost held SLIGHTLY stronger...

corrected numbers were...

Stock:

224/241 @21.5psi

Intake:

232/256 @21.6 psi

I was very impressed with the gains...

more to come...

I think just holding boost to say 16-17 at redline will net another 25whp, as its dropping to 13psi...

Here is the Chart... pics will come later

(please note, on the STOCK pull, the wideband fell out of the exhaust tip at the end of the pull, which is why the AFR jumps)

CB

Very nice. Ours made 211-236 but didn't keep climbing like yours did. What kind of fuel did you have in the tank?

Dave,

our car went up each of the 4 stock pulls... with the new filter, it was pretty stable...

i think our dynos are "pretty" close....

ours had sunoco 93 in it..... full tank from the dealer, its still in the car...

it had some decent hesitation stock, it actually seemed smoother with the filter...

im going to test some different shapes/sizes...

it sounds ok, with the afr's moving and boost change, i would say the stocker has some restriction...

with a drop in filter, this may change, and the results may not be as big.
