AMS Twin Tip Exhuast Video And Poll!
Well, I like the way that number 1 sounds a lot in the new clip at low rpms; it sounds a lot like my old sti, which is definitely a compliment. I am guessing that this "rumble" sound is because the exit pipes from the y junction are different lengths, and thus delivering the exhaust gases evenly, but at slightly different tmes. This would make sense since the "boxer rumble" of the STi really had nothing to do with the fact that it was a boxer engine at all, but rather that it used unequal length headers. Unequal length pipes create that pulse like sound, which I am a huge fan of. The only thing that I wish was differen is that it starts off deep and with a nice growl, gut it get's a little buzzy at high rpms. Is there any way to make it deeper in tone? Or better yet, is it possible to make it quiet at idle and cruise, but then open up into a growl when you floor it?
Alright this is what i think, I like the single tip system b/c a it doesn't look like stock and b I've always been a fan of angled mufflers. But i gotta say these sound badass. The 1st exhaust video of it only sounds mean revving, but number 3 sounds good too. So I'm gonna pick between those 2. Good work guys.
The second is what I like out of the first two but the third has the combination sounds of both the first and second. It uses the the firsts solid sound to even out the seconds rattly pitch... My vote goes to the third one.
By the way, what was the gains of the single tip exhaust buy AMS?

IMO impossible to tell.
You guys should have included some footage of the car cruising on the dyno at 3000-4000 RPM, letting off the gas and getting back on it again. From what I've seen of Buschur's dual exhaust and the exhausts on the SRT-4, if they're engineered a certain way you get a nice growl to the exhaust. (very UN-4bangerlike).

+100% totally agree.
IMO, I think the single should be the lightweight and really mean sounding exhaust while the dual is the quieter and more civilized exhaust for daily-drivers. This is how things were when I was into S2000's and it seemed to work really well.
*edit*
I just saw you you changed the sound of the exhaust and I love that idea! Great work guys
