yes, several people has brought this up, however, we don't know if that is engine rating or dyno rating.

Awesome man, glad to hear it. I've heard a few companies are looking into upgrading the clutch packs too, hopefully we'll hear something in the next 6-12 months.

That would be at the input shaft to the transmission. So the crank of the engine. There's no other way you would do it.

Transmission crank shaft.

There you go. Now take away around 15 to 18% for drive train loss, and you get a wheels measurement. Now remember this is by the factory and most factory ratings are what you could say conservative, i like to call them safe.

For example is not the same but, at my previous job we had to lift and engine that weight in at about 6500 lbs or so. The sling was rated @ 7K lbs if i remember correctly. Yet it was load tested @ 14K lbs(static load).

So only Getrag really knows what the tranny will take before it goes pop most likely. They probably told Mitsu it will work good up to this power level, and Mitsu said ok. Well take 10,000. Maybe 1 or 2 engineers at Mitsu might know the truth.

So how about is Xtreme can you contact find out the max the tranny can take, lol. He probably is not aloud to say anyways.

Well , at this time the transmission is limited to about 350Tq because of the clutch set-up . That set-up can and will be updated in the not too distant future . Once thats done I do expect to see MR's holding well over 500TQ . We just moved into another shop and during the move we had some major issues that have delayed all sorts of orders and work , we are getting back to normal and we hope to start work on the MR trans soon if all goes well .

it makes me so excited seeing someone is wanting progress out of the SST. I also agree that i thought I made a mistake. But the interior of the MR is amazing. I couldnt shy away from it. Cant wait to find out what kind of power these can hold.

The Audi DSG clutch upgrades run about $1000 for a stg2/3 package, they also do TCU reflashes and such.

In a year I'm sure the SST will be there as well

ya this will be my first mod. I will go all out once I know the limit to the tranny. If we can upgrade I would like to be pushing 550+ whp within the year after the release

Problems arrise at above 340 wtq, starts to slip, utilizing S-Sport can decrease the ammount of slippage by shortening the clutches movements... but... this has only happened to me at half throttle. at full throttle in S-Sport i have yet to notice any problems. but, more parts to come this week, will post new numbers and characteristics of them shortly.

Imo: this next round of goodies should be the straw that broke the tranny's back. If it's going to break.... it will, and i will unfortunately be THAT GUY.
