The first mod i did was a K&N panel/cone filter and now i can hear the turbo spool and the BOV. This doesnt yeild much hp gains but it makes driving the X A LOT more fun since the X is quiet *** hell stock. Next mod will be the UICP from speedcircuit. Good luck with you modding and have fun with the X!!

thank you for the welcoming attitude felibon, and everyone.

what do you guys think for the Zchip? can i just get it and expect decent gains with out tuning?

I think the Zchip still needs tuned as you make changes just like the stock ECU. I could be wrong here, but it just looks like hardware (and maybe software) packaged to make tuning a bit more plug-and-play than the Tactrix+EvoScan+ECUFlash route. Since Evo Scan has evolved to work with the X so much better in the past few months, I don't see much point. You'll still either need to be able to tune your own, or have to pay someone to do it for you.

Some discussion about it here: http://www.zchip.net/

Whats this Zchip? similar to chipping like a 335i and gettin massive hp gains or is the same as a tune?
