I had this problem. I was driving at -5 degrees Celsius (23F) and I got this code. Basically the car would accelerate hard... then there was a cut in power... and then the car would keep driving. Then the CEL would pop up.

Basically the tune that I had was fine during the spring/summer/fall... but when the temperatures went really low in December... the car was boosting too much. So I had to switch maps to one that didn't boost as much. Now my car is running fine. When spring comes along... I will switch back to the normal map.

Bring this thread back up. Getting the same thing after changing my intake back to stock and installing a synapse DV, recirc, pull mode, port B to vac and port A to atmopsphere. It was 30 degrees F outside at the time. Do I need to adjust the BOV?

Your new BOV is holding boost when your stocker was leaking causing you to over-boost. With a new BOV, you're going to have to adjust your boost tables.

Thought the wastegate was seperate from the turbo? Unless it's an internal wastegate on the turbo, I forgot. What mods have done to the car?

mods
91 oct stage 1 map, cobb uicp & licp, k&N fillter, cobb cat back exhuast , ams hfc,
and the dealership said the turbo and wastegate is in one piece, so, i think it is the internal wastegate, i did a lot o research, i kindda have the feeling that the dealership is wrong, lol.. i think it could be a bad tune, or my relays are bad,
i am going to order the relay today. what do you guys think, i love my evo

Wastegate actuator is bolted to the turbo, and it actuates the wastegate flapper in the turbo.
