Magnus Evo IX CMC conversion or SSP CMC?
Be careful putting the brake booster back on, I learned the hard way this weekend that they dont like pry bars... Unfortunately, I have no tips for getting it to line up to the holes...
Used the SSP CMC V3 for about 16k miles and it broke.
The SSP CMC V3 had a retainer clip that popped out, which caused the seal, pedal shaft, and brake fluid spill and fall out. And when I talked to them, SSP thinks that I probably put the seal in a little angled. Which is probably what happened, since my seal's gone bad, my clutch pedal sinks when I put light pressure on it.
SSP though still offered to fix my V3 for free of charge and send it back to me. I think I'll give SSP a 2nd chance, since I believe it would've lasted me a good while if the retainer clip didn't pop out.
But if it breaks again, I'll try Magnus.

I cant believe Mitsubishi supplied us with plastic CMCs. Was there ever a recall for this? Or do they just continue to make cars like this? Honestly, this part is garbage. If anybody wants to order the Magnus you can get both the EVO 9 CMC and the Magnus Install kit from Fredbeansparts.com
Go with Evo 9 CMC and save yourself the money and headache. Friend's SSP cmc V3 just failed after he had it on his car for 3 months and barely drove the car too.
Go with something that is made to last. My evo 8 has 162,000 miles, most of the milage is on an upgraded clutch.
Too bad Mitsubishi cheaped out on the Evo X.
