air intake help

so ive been doing my research on an intake for my new GSR. im really interested in the injen intake with the upper intercooler piping, sounds good from what i saw on youtube and i just trust injens product after having a cold air on my 2008 lancer gts. but the thing is its not a cold air, AMS makes a cold air that dips down through the engine and sits behind the driver side fog light. i would really like the cold air intake cause in my opinion i feel ill get more power and better air flow, but i dont see how the air will flow so well to the filter because theres no open holes in the mesh of the fog light on the driver side where the filter will sit. does any one have the injen intake or the AMS cold air? if so please tell me what you think of about them and help me make up my mind lol.
thanks, sean

There is always the AEM intake. Fully enclosed and keeps the AIT's down.

The AMS CAI price is beyond ridiculous. That compressed air coming out of the turbo is hot as hell, and many have said there's no benefit to a CAI on a turbo car w/ an intercooler. For the price of the AMS, you're probably better off upgrading your intercooler along with a short intake. There's your cooler air right there.

I have the Injen and it seems to be a good intake. Has worked for me pretty nicely. I would recommend ordering some t-bolt clamps though for the UICP just to hold it tighter and the couplers are BARELY long enough to reach so maybe longer couplers lol but yes as said above that's what your IC is for to lower the temps. Regardless of what intake you have after it goes through that turbo it will "melt your face off" I just installed the ETS 4" FMIC about 15 min ago and I think that will be the key to keeping the air cooler. (wouldn't blow money on all the AMS piping) just my opinion
Good luck!
