Ah, my apologies. I didn't notice this was in the X section. I still think this site revolves around the 8/9's. However, given the nature of the 4b11 I'd venture the same results could realized with a similar build as a 4g63. Built motor, head work, E-85 or race gas and all other necessary supporting mods. Everything is impossible until someone does it.

Edit* not suggesting that's the best method to reach the goal. Just that it's an option.

Second that.... Well, you probably can get away with a few thousand depending on what you do yourself and what a shop does for you.

I bought daily driver because I plan on working on the car myself and then getting it tuned by a shop. I believe my budget is around $12k for my build, but I probably will need to add some depending on different parts I decide on... Intake, exhaust, downpipe, free flow cat (or test pipe), turbo, turbo manifold, and lots of tuning is the simplest.

I made 455 whp on pump with the mods I have in my sig if that helps. 10 grand build after all set and done. You can achieve 400 whp and 11 sec quarters on stock turbo with E85, 1200 cc injectors, walbro 255 and stage 2 cams if you're on a budget.

Nice build. Was this the sleeved MAP block or just their Stage 1? What was the turn-around time for your dealings with MAP?

1 motor rebuile
2 Shep tranny build
3 IC pipe and ic upgrade
4 intake up grade
5 Full fuel system up grade (injectors, pump, rails fuel regulator)
6 Turbo upgrade (ie Ef4, fp black ect)
7 E-85
8 Tune
9 Full exhaust up graded

500whp = T3 in my opinion.

So much easier and much more reliable power. The T3 setup doesn't even cost that much more and often times less when comparing journal bearing to journal bearing and ball bearing to ball bearing.

If you have plans on getting a manifold, downpipe, lower pipe, o2 housing, turbo, wastegate, etc. You should look at the T3 setup, if you already have all the supporting mods maybe the bolt on turbocharger is the way to go so your not wasting cash.

If your going to upgrade you should upgrade so your not restricted by a stock frame turbine housing. Make peak power and hold it all the way to red line. It's fun to make peak torque quick on the stock turbochargers but when the power drops off 1/2 way through the graph your missing out on a ton of top end fun

Good luck man! If you have questions regarding any T3 setups don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks!

Michael

Original block with drop in pistons and rods. Block went to a machine shop for honing and cleaning.
