Pump started to fail: 30,000 miles (11/2015)
Pump failed: 1st time @ 30K, 2nd time @ 33K (3/16) 3rd time @ 36K (5/16)
Cold-start reflashed: No
Location: DFW, TX

The first two pumps were fixed under warranty but Mitsubishi has decided that they will not fix the 3rd pump and are attributing the failure to my Cobb protuned map. So I am basically SOL.

I don't understand how your pump is failing every 3000 miles. When they replaced it or repaired it the 1st time, something had to have not been right. You need to take it to a different dealership. There's no way they can not fix it (when it's covered under the 100k power train warranty) and blame it on the engine tune which has nothing to do with the pump.

Yeah I don't understand either and unfortunately either do the folks at the dealership. At this point I have zero faith in their techs and I wont be going back. There is a major mitsu dealer in Dallas and I will have to go that route. I don't know if my car has been blacklisted but i may flash the stock tune and limp it out to Dallas and hope for the best.

Pump failed: 15000km
Cold-start reflashed: yes
Location: Fort McMurray, AB, Canada

Car was exposed to temperatures between -35 to -50 celcius without driving for a week this past winter. When I came back to town and drove the car to work (after letting it warm up for near 30 minutes) the lights and whistles started flashing. Took the car in to the dealer at roughly 15900km. Told me the pump failed. No clue why. Had to be replaced to further diagnose. Declined warranty on the spot due to COBB stage 3 bolt on package and accessport OTS map. Said I'm responsible for the full cost of part+labor. Called another dealership for a second opinion about 6 weeks ago. Ran my VIN...told me the vehicle has been flagged my Mitsubishi. AWESOME.

Since the warmer weather this spring...the pump randomly started working again on its own. No lights...no more codes...works like a charm again. Will be getting the DrivenFab trunk relocate kit and installing that before next winter to avoid this issue happening again.

I started to get the blinking tarmac light.i called Mitsubishi corporation and they said to bring it to my local dealer and it's under warranty. I took it to bell Mitsubishi. They feed me some bs about "the pump isn't the issue it's a faulty control unit and it's $1400 to fix" this is after they jerked me for $125 for diagnostic. So basiclly I paid them to fix nothing! They said the pump hasn't failed so we can't replace it... they guy said they scanned the ECU after I told him not to! Then changed his story to they only scanned the pump?! Needless to say I will call Mitsubishi corporation back and go to another dealership. This place had no idea what they were talking about.

Just started getting the flashing tarmac light. What can I do since a lot of ppl say the dealer won't replace it at this point? Do I wait until it completely fails?

Bought used 12/1016
Mileage: ~56K
Power: Stock

For the last week while driving home from work I get an ASC SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED error after about 30 minutes which disables ASC. On most days I also get an 4WD SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED error within 15 minutes later. Turning the engine off and on again clears the errors and leaves no codes. Tarmac light is not flashing. See video below for display before turning the engine off.

I'm thinking of replacing the pump. Not sure if I should go to the dealer or have my usual mechanic do it.

first sold: ? Bought it used in 2012
pump started to fail: 63,000 miles and I get error "service" message whenever I make a U-turn. Message doesn't come up (yet) any other time
pump failed: Pump still running but I'm sure it's on the outs since "service" message comes up when I make U-turns
cold-start reflashed: never

*About to call dealerships in the Phoenix area and see how much this fix will run*
