1st gear issues

Ok im completely new to this site and to owning an evo... I just bought a 2014 and am having problems with first gear and have only 400 miles on the car. Right now if I get to 3500rpm in first gear and rod on it it pops out of gear every time and sounds absolutely terrible any input would be greatly appreciated.. also sorry if this post is in the wrong spot or if there is already a thread on this im just learning how the navigate this site as well
