Need help!!! Clutch issues
I have a '12 Evo X GSR and having trouble with the Clutch Pedal. I was driving about 2 hours ago and noticed something just didnt feel right. I then noticed while driving the car, it seemed as if i lost all pressure in the clutch and the car would not go in to gear when driving. I was able to coast in to a parking lot and took a look around. The car still would not go in to gear. I shut the car off and then the clutch felt fine pressure wise and also when in to all of the gears just fine. I started the car back up and lost all pressure again and would not go in to gear. This time when i shut the car off, i pressed the Clutch pedal in and now it did not even come back up, it was stuck in the down position. I had to use my hand to pull it back up to starting position. Someone was telling me on the X's that there is a "plastic" rod that does break on the clutch pedal and could also be the issue.
Also FYI the clutch master cylinder was replaced back in December or so due to Recall notice i got.
Car has less than 24K miles and had a Competition Clutch Stage 3 installed at 10K.
Any Help would be great

The retaining clip could have come off the TOB. I have a CC stage 3 as well. That pressure plate is much stronger than the oem one, that paired with the garbage retaining clip is no bueno. My tranny had to come out TWICE due to this. Hopefully the ACT monoloc will fix it.
Maybe the slave cylinder popped off the fork?

The OEM master cylinder wont handle the added pressure and will keep blowing the seals out, the best fix to insure this doesnt happen again, especially with an upgraded clutch, is to look into getting a new master cylinder kit that will work with the new clutch, i.e. AMS Performance Evo X Clutch Master Cylinder Conversion Kit (with master cylinder). Hope this is helpful.

I have the same exact setup. Factory replaced CMC and CC stg3. I ran the Stg3 with the stock CMC for 10k and it never gave me an issue. I'm hoping the recalled unit goes the same. I'm thinking you may be having an issue with the retaining clip.

Sorry for the Delay everyone. Finally I got an answer from the Dealership. They said that they can physically see that the Fork Shift is broken. They were the ones who did the recall on the Master Cylinder and also installed the new Clutch/Flywheel/Pressure Plate last year. They said that its possible what they installed could be damaged as well but they wanted to charge me atleast $700 to pull it apart just to take a look. I said no way. The "certified tech" they had work on the car stated that it is possible that with the Heavy Duty Pressure plate I have could have caused the Fork Shift to break or the Throw up Bearing as well. Does anyone have any suggestions on what may have caused this or what can be done to prevent this from happening again? I use the car as my DD and do not have a backup so right now I am screwed basically. The car has never seen any type of track and on this clutch has been launched maybe 2-3 times total.
Anyone that has dealt with their Fork Shift breaking, how much of a pain in the *** is it to replace the Fork Shift??

you can't do it don't even try
if it were me, I would want the dealership to prove *why* it's not a result of the last people who touched the components: them.
I'd even rent a car and dump mine there.
Remember: you aren't asking them to warranty aftermarket parts, you want them to warranty the labor from their own work.
