Upgraded fuel pump - When is it needed?
Currently putting down 300 awhp on a notoriously low reading mustang dyno (kozmic motorsports in houston). When i got it tuned, Eric said he may not be able to tune it on a stock pump (intake, full exhaust, no muffler, test pipe, 3port, 93 oct), but he ended up being able to due it probably because it was 100 degrees outside. He said my next mod should be a fuel pump.
Am i running a risk at this level with the stock pump? I think he said my injector duty cycle was around 96 or 98%.
Also, are there any aftermarket pumps that aren't super loud? Or are atleast around stock noise level?
How much power would a walboro 255 take me up to? On 93 & e85??

well it sounds like you're maxing out your fuel injectors...
the OEM fuel pump pushes 240lph if I recall correctly, although if the injectors are at 96% then the fuel pump is probably pumping as fast as it's little pump can pump!
I'm running a stock pump on 1100 FIC's without a problem, but, I imagine its lifespan is probably shorter as a result. It's a cheap mod, and I didn't find it to be loud at all (did it on my other X's, and have a new AEM pump sitting here, just haven't had time to put it in....)
