2014 Evo - Clutch slipping in 2 months?

There's got to be a problem because there's no way that stock clutch should have burnt up at all. And I refuse to race or launch my evo till it's out of warranty. Then I'll build it up.
I think the question of the hour here is did you pay for the new clutch or was it covered?

Ok I know this thread has been quite a few months. Just thought about it driving into work today. Wanted to update on my own experience. My issue was I got the car mid Oct of 2014 and by 4k miles my clutch was toast. I realized this past winter it was my AWC setting causing the problem. When I had the car in snow mode for when their was actual snow on the ground I would always smell my clutch and then by spring or when I would change it back to tarmac it would stop. I noticed this past winter I put it in for a few minutes of driving and same issue smelling my clutch, so I put it back to tarmac drove the whole winter like that with no issues and clutch is perfectly fine. Not sure if those controls also want the clutch to engage quicker since its for the LSD I believe but either way I didn't drive this whole winter with it and I was fine.

The ACD settings have absolutely nothing to do with your clutch.

I know that, just wasn't sure why only in that mode I would smell the clutch while under the same driving style. The only thing I changed this past winter was keeping it in Tarmac the whole time and it ran fine. Thats why I thought it was weird from my experience.

not offend anyone, but this is why we have, the clutch pill installed in our clutch line etc...in the USA market.

Before you guys start blaming somebody else, make sure your end is perfect. Stock clutch has no issue. Its a perfectly fine and good clutch at stock level.
I do however think the clutch pill and the plastic MC is a big mistake from Mitsubishi side , but that has nothing to do with people who blows they clutch before 10K or so.
Also stock clutch can handle even some additional add on power nicely.

Side note:
You guys should be grateful Mitsubishi designed the clutch to be a weak point in a drive train, other wise you would be sorry for your driving habit a lot more.
