Turbo upgrade with stock block
On 93 octane pump gas typically cars end up around 18-20* timing at 7000 rpm, move to 100 octane and you can see 20-22* timing. With E85 you usually end up about 4-5* timing higher than the pump gas map which is 22*-25* range. The critical thing with E85 is that it doesn't really knock that much so making sure a change gives consistent gains is really important. There is no sense in running extra timing if it's actually hurting power and is just risking damage to your engine. Keep in mind that every car is different and large turbo setups running higher boost levels will mean varying levels of knock sensitivity which effect how much timing can be safely run.
And that was taken into consideration when tuning. Each degree netted an increase in power. We probably could have pushed it further, but 500 was my goal, and so we stopped there. We weren't just running timing to run timing.

I'm not trying bash your build, or your car, or you. I just want you to know that those timing levels aren't safe. You're going to beat the bearings out of it, or break a rod or piston.
JohnBradley (Aaron at English Racing) Can you get squared away with an Etune.
