Engine Warranty
Engine Warranty
I have a 2015 evo x MR stock...
50km
Still under warranty according to mitsubishi.
So now I was cruising down the highway and big puff of white smoke out of the exhaust. I get it towed home and I troubleshoot. I find cylinder 1 spark plug, the arch broke off and bounced around the engine. Not sure what the extent of the damage is (idk if my turbo is okay but I doubt it). Anyways will mitsu cover me under warranty? I bought the car brand new and followed maintenance as per manual.
thanks in advance.

They should cover it, but it's Mitsubishi so prepare yourself for the run around and jerking you in every direction. I believe Canadian powertrain on the evo is 60k or 5 years, whichever comes first... so you should be fine in that sense.
My buddy had the same thing happen to his 1.6T Kia with 44k kms, and Kia replaced his shortblock. But they asked for proof of everything prior to submitting the claim, waiting for a response. Seems to be common on these newer engines, having the plug fail. I change my plugs long before 50k, just in case.
