I bought a IX because to me it is the last true Evolution
The 2 sec. a lap improvement was conducted by the Mitsu. test driver when he drove it back to back against a JDM spec Evo IX on their 1.6 mile test course. The 1 sec. improvement your referring to was conducted by the magazine writer and anyone in the business (and I am) knows most auto writers aren't great drivers (unless their British and work at EVO or CAR). 
Ask any track junky including me; saving a full 2 sec. a lap on such a small course is mighty impressive.
And yes I am an Evo owner. In fact I own 2.

This reminds me of an old joke about (not by) Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy....
Laurel and Hardy are down to their last dollar. Ollie goes into a store and comes out with a bag.

So far I do not like what I see and i dont intend on purchasing one but I would still like to at least drive it. When they are available do you think my dealer will allow me to test drive it considering my VIII is totally payed for? Or would I have to go through the standard can you afford this car credit check BS.
