that link proves absolutely nothing. One good thing it says is "many experts believe those numbers are very conservative"
So with that being said everyone just needs to relax and wait to see what happens.
Its already been said that its 2 secs faster around the track than the ix. And all the haters that complained about car and driver and edmunds etc, not posting the truth for the past year about this car are all of a sudden agreeing with them.
I've seen thier 0-60 times be off plenty of times. Is it wishful thinking they finally got it right the 1st time? Does it feed your ego thinking your car is superior at least in a straight line? (for now)

 

yet another non-eVo owner chiming in...when does this stop...seriously... 2 sec faster around the track huh...there's a thread on here that sates the X is 1 sec faster...not that impressive if you ask me...considering all the research and development put into the car...lol...if you can't find the thread that I am talking about...let me know...

 

yes a non evo owner who has much more common sense than you. And if you read all the threads the 1st one posted I believe was the car and driver review that stated 2 seconds faster. If you can't find it let me know. And 2 seconds is pretty impressive.

 

you're so stupid. i've read all the reviews. nowhere does MISTUBISHI ever say the evo (NOT "eVo") is marketed to women. the AUTHOR'S opinion is that the car would APPEAL more to women, NOT that it was MARKETED to women. if you cannot see this then i am really sorry for you. ignorance and the failure of the american education system is NOT something to joke about on the internet. people like highbredcrap here actually exist in the real world and they actually do say words like "son" after a sentence... sad, sad youth of america...

PS: don't act like you're the only one on earth that "predicted" the X was going to be slower and more refined. it was common knowledge simply due to the fact that it's heavier and larger in all dimensions. go ahead stroke your virtual dick. it's the only thing you're gonna get...

Although I agree with you that the Evo should have the 4G63, i think that saying that because the Evo 10 will share an engine with a Dodge SUV being a weak point isn't really valid when you look at the list I just posted.

 

The 2 sec. a lap improvement was conducted by the Mitsu. test driver when he drove it back to back against a JDM spec Evo IX on their 1.6 mile test course. The 1 sec. improvement your referring to was conducted by the magazine writer and anyone in the business (and I am) knows most auto writers aren't great drivers (unless their British and work at EVO or CAR).
Ask any track junky including me; saving a full 2 sec. a lap on such a small course is mighty impressive.
And yes I am an Evo owner. In fact I own 2.
