New Type has me near the top of the list, so I expect to be getting one of the first batch of GSR's before the end of the month

well, we can't say until someone actually disassembles the Canadian rear bumper to see what's actually there.

gotta agree with jackygor, highly doubtful that the customer has actually driven the car off the dealer lot. As I posted above, Mitsubishi Canada is not allowing dealers to release cars yet. Any update on whether the car was released by that dealer?

If the dealer is still sticking to the story that the MR's will be here this month, I think you'll be hearing him changing his story very soon...

Story changed! good news!

Hi Chris,
I contacted the ad manager for Mitsubishi East. Below is his response:

-Vincent, per the question below, the MR still requires some additional testing prior to being released, and because we do not know the results of the testing yet, it is difficult to provide a specific time as to when the veh will be available, however at this time we feel the vehicle should be available in May.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,

K. D

Sorry for the delay,

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. From what my local dealer has told me the Evo X should be here by the end of February. Its kind of funny I have been a fan of the Evo for a good 8-10 years aroung the time of the evo5-6 but I have never driven or even seen one before cant wait to test drive and possible buy one.

I called Mitsubishi Canada this morning, and they confirmed the delay in the MR. They said production isn't slated until May/June, so count on mid-summer before arrival at the dealerships.

So my "rumor" seems to be correct.

It seems like everyones being told a different date, but i was told it would take 6 months ABSOLUTE MINIMUM and probably up to a year.

Weird, some people from the other forum phoned Mitsubishi USA and said MR will deliver according to schedule.

Conclusion: No one knows anything and no body should be trusted until Mitsubishi confirms this is official.

Yes the car was release, no more evo in the showroom!! I don't understand why they should not release it. Keep in mind that here, there is no list of people waiting for their evo. So, as the salesman told me, why risking loosing a sale when they know that another one is coming in the next week.

For the MR, after reading everything said I'm pretty sure he will change is story too

Quite sad for a first post!

I'm a newcomer to evolutionm.net... but a long time canadian fan of the evo. I was so excited at the opportunity to finally get to own one soon!! By reading this thread, I learned about the MR story. I put a deposit on a black MR a month ago and expected it by mid-march/april (that's what the dealer told me!!). Seems like I will give him a call this afternoon to find out! I will probably cancel my order and go for a more "upmarket" car for the same price... (51000$ is a steel, even if it's an evo... but Iwas ready to pay for it... passion before reason!) Too bad for mitsubishi because the Evo is an icon that will boost the respect for the company. If they can't deliver them, that respect will fall appart.

I will continue to read for updates, hoping for the impossible!

Louis
