I'm pretty sure that the Subaru STi has a Mitsubishi turbo in it.

Pretty much all the cars of the Subaru lineup that use turbos have Mitsubishi turbos in them.

Mitsubishi turbos are great. Even subaru will tell you that, as the 08 WRX (and maybe the 08 STi) ditched their IHI turbos and now use mitsu turbos.

Never heard of reliability issues from mitsu turbo's.
Don't install any anti-lag and you should be golden

Very reliable. Great turbos for being what they are. Dependable if used for what they are meant to be used for but that doesn't mean you can't crank that boost and still have a reliable turbo (within reason).

Mitsubishi probably makes one of the best if not the best turbo systems in the world. A lot of car manufacturers such as Subaru and BMW (in 335 and the new X6 4.4l) use Mitsu turbos so that pretty much sums it up.
