The Xpel addition kit that they supposedly are working on, as well as front splash guards should help out immensely. I have 1 chip on mine on the driver side in 1100 miles. I have the full 3M film kit installed on mine. Rockers, hood, bumper, mirrors, etc. The film is holding up well so far, but that one bastard rock missed the film and chipped the paint on the rear edge of the back door. Sucks. Dang rocks.

I was recently blessed with a hand full of cat scratch's, so I thought I'd let you all know (Turtle Wax) buffing compound works great, a little abrasive but totally eradicated the scratch's! You have to apply the application a few times for it to take full affect, make sure to not over do it though, it will literally remove the clear off your car. I was over looking Mitsu paint quality and it seems almost flawless until you concentrate on the clear, my GTS has small bubbles here and there. I'm defiantly going to inspect my soon to be X a lot better!

This won't work for this issue. The clear is gone, the colored paint is gone. We're down to primer.

Yeah I was just letting people know that the buffing compound worked wonders, I was actually satisfied with the overall outcome, so I thought if anyone had this problem their is a product worth trying, unlike those other "so called" scratch removers!

Xpel recently put out their updated bumper and rear door kit. I finally had my front spoiler covered with their new kit. The back door has massive coverage now.

I just got an evo x last night and i noticed that there was 3M clear protection on the front rear panel where all of you are experiencing these issues. I asked Sam the sales guy and he said they didnt put that on. I'm wondering if mitsu is now starting to put the protection on with the new shipment of cars.

That's been on every X shipped, as far as I'm aware. The problem is it's not nearly big enough to stop chips on that panel, and doesn't even attempt to cover the lower rocker panel.

What I have noticed is that the lower portion of the doors and the side sills get an inordinate amount of dust and dirt compared to the rest of the car. The side sills get dirty after one drive after a fresh wash. I wonder how the guys with the Aero package are dealing with this dirt/dust buildup.
