^ I'd take over 21 in the city all day.... I drive a 08 Honda CRV and it only gets 23 on the hwy.... Damn wind resistance

 

Yeah I avg about 22, city driving around hendy.

 

Lower than 91 octane is a mistake, if you want to use cheap gas buy a different car.

 

u might get by with cheaper gas but in the same breath, your engine might go boom

 

I know what you mean! The Hummer gets 17 mpg on a good day.

As for the gas, technically, the warranty would be voided if you put anything less than premium in it. And it even says on the gas door thingy...Premium fuel only. Here in CO that's 91 Octante...in TX it's 93 (for the most part).

i have like 800 mile on my evo x.
last time i fill up my gas tank was on friday almost 60buck i fill it up all the way almost untill the gas pores out the car that way.
so i already had some city mile + i went to yuma AZ before i went back home i sa that i use 1/2 tank of fuel 196 miles use in a 1/2 tank. i went to fill it back up like i do to the top it took me 10 gallons almost 35bucks 3.45 for 91Oct

but dosent the Evo X gas tank about 15 gallons
and 1/2 tank is 7.5 gallons
why did it take me 10 gallons for a 1/2 tank

I don't think I've ever hit 26mpg hwy like the window sticker says. If you're looking for fuel efficiency you're in the wrong car. $3.66 for gas today! AAHH!

And the gas price is the same here in Ca, but yuma , Az is a lil Diff.. less
Trust me fuel is not a problem for me i use to have a 91 Bronco thats like 50bucks every four days

 

ive just realized that according to the computer in the car u can go through a tank in like 80km LOL thats insane, the car is more gas sensitive by far than any car ive seen...if i constantly boosted in my other car i could always get atleast 250km on the tank...ahwelll at the end of the day it is still worth it

 

Does it change the range by your mileage it thinks your getting ?

Sorry for using the crv as reference again, but it has a trip computer also and it changes how far I can go based on the mileage it says I'm getting

If I reset it on the highway and am getting 26 mpg , it says my range is 400 miles.... But tv next exit I get to and go through a few traffic lights, it will drop. My mpg to 22 and say my range is 350 even though I went only 5 miles from the 1st time I looked at it..... So it changes constatly.... You cannot take those things as gospel, just a guide

 

man must suck with gas prices rising recently... i remember my bro driving back from LA and prices tehre were like 3.75 haha =X

 

ok I lost some one on this math, the EVO hold 14.5 gallons, from the manual , how can you put 60 bucks worth of gas in it. I have been watching this lately just to see where mine falls and I am at about 150 miles at the 1/2 tank mark, i didnt fill up but when i hit low and it starts to flash it only takes 11 gallons, and usually I am at 200-210 . city driving no racy stuff, if I play alittle every day it drops to about 17-18 mpg, usually 18-19 in the city, I just noticed if you keep driving after the the gas pump flashes first. it will then lock the center information panel on a large oranage gas pump that flashes, you will have to hold the info button down for 3 secs to reset it back to your milage menu. when this happened , it took 12 gallons exactly. just my observation. worst mileage to date was 16 mpg that was alot of 1-4 gear runs while i was tuning on the boost gauge and MBC.
