Gearbox is notchy, but not grinding by any means. It just feels weird, and doesnt actually inhibit driving. At least, not for me.

 

sound like you really should buy the car next year, then you will have heard about all the bugs . In the meantime ,I will drive youe EVO X and let you know what I think.

I love the car. It is perfect to me inside and outside. Handling, power, etc. The gearbox is really nice EXCEPT for the 2nd and 3rd gear issues. Mine is getting better, but is still there, and you must take care with it.

I don't care about the little problems. I haven't found any rock chips on my car yet. The thing that bothers me is the running rich issue. They need to hurry up and re flash. I don't want to show up at the dealer all modded for the re flash. So I would rather get the re flash first. I hope it is the running rich thing, I hope it isn't something more serious. Car seems to be out of tune past 5k RPM.

 

Like others have been posting about the gearbox being 'notchy'...........mine is notchy going from 1st to 2nd and 3rd until it get warmed up and then it is ok. But weirdly though today noticed, on a cold start, it was smooth shifting going from 1st to 2nd, just 3rd gear was a little notchy until it got warmed up.......all other gears were fine.
