A new issue to worry about
Nah, I think I might have found it.
Mike, turn your manual to page 3-188. Until I read your very last post, I did not realize you had the giant check triangle.
There is a thread on here about an adjustment the techs are supposed to do when they PDI the car for the timing chain.
Take in your manual and show them this page. They might have forgotten to set the initial chain spec in the ECU.
Obviously, your car is brand new and there is no way there is any wear on the timing chain. Get the dealer to test and program the ECU properly for the location of the chain, and you should not have to deal with this anymore.

My 08 Evo X just hit 18k miles and this triangle shows up every 40 miles on the dot. Going to run into the dealership this week but do not have the owners manual to figure out what this means.
