I'm at 500 miles almost and finding everything you said to be utterly true! The synco's no longer crunch, the faster/smoother you let out on the clutch the more rewarding the car feels! I'm still getting use to is, I've made a couple of stupid mistakes here and there but overall coming from a Mustang 5 speed to the EVO's 5 speed is a BLESSING. When I shift the X to it's fullest potential, it feels as though it's one seamless gear, I have only a very small drop in revs and it feels as though it was a CVT.

I'm very impressed with this car, I hadn't drove a manual in close to 5 years and the art of shifting is slowly coming back to me, I find myself thinking about shifting this car when I'm at work, it's almost like a drug addiction, I take it around industrial park on my lunch break to get my quick fix. The X is truly an amazing CAR!

Is the new Evo drive by wire?

If it is, I might know something that just might help with throttle response. You can PM me if you like.

There is the AWD slow uptake on shifts that all Evos and Subies have. I was having an in gear bog into second at full throttle post upshift.

In my car at least, it was the fueling. With the tune, it rips to the rev limiter, and once I'm in the next gear, power comes on immediately.

The fueling stock is so rich, that its almost undrivable at points. You guys (and girl) will flip when your car is fully tuned, it pulls like an Evo should.

My WRX had electronic throttle and my tuner (with openECU tuning) knew how to fiddle around with it and make it perfect for me.

Same here.
The bog is very noticeable when I shift fast and I really hate it!
